If your tracking says that delivery was attempted or your package is ready for pickup, the local carrier may be holding it for another delivery attempt or collection.
The local carrier completing the delivery will have the most direct and up-to-date information about your package.
What should I do next?
1. Check the local carrier’s tracking page
On your Passport tracking page, find the Your Local Delivery section and select the local tracking number or carrier link.
Check for:
- The pickup location and opening hours
- The deadline for collecting your package
- Redelivery instructions
- Any additional delivery details the carrier needs
2. Contact the local carrier
Contact the local carrier directly if you need to:
- Confirm where the package is being held
- Arrange another delivery attempt
- Provide a unit number, gate code, buzzer number, or phone number
- Confirm what identification or documents are needed for pickup
- Ask how long the package will remain available
Provide your local tracking number when contacting the carrier.
3. Collect the package as soon as possible
If a pickup location is listed, bring your tracking number and a valid photo ID.
Some carriers may also require a delivery notice or written authorization if someone else is collecting the package for you.
Important to know
Pickup deadlines, delivery attempts, and redelivery options vary by carrier and country.
If the package is not collected or the delivery issue is not resolved before the carrier’s deadline, it may be marked Returned to Sender.
When should I contact Passport Support?
Contact Passport Support if:
- You cannot identify the local carrier
- The local tracking link does not work
- The local carrier’s tracking information is unclear
- You contacted the local carrier but could not get additional information
Passport can help explain the available tracking information, but the local carrier controls final delivery, pickup, and redelivery arrangements.
