Carrier Calculated Shipping (CCS) is required for Passport to display live shipping rates, duties, and taxes at checkout in your Shopify store.
If you are on an Advanced or Shopify Plus plan, you can skip this step—CCS is already included in your account!
How can I enable CCS in Shopify?
There are currently three ways to enable this feature:
- Switch to an annual plan
- If you upgrade to an annual Shopify plan, CCS will be added at no extra cost.
- Once your plan is upgraded, you’ll need to contact Shopify directly to have them enable the feature.
- Contact Shopify Support
- You can request CCS to be added to your existing plan for $20/month.
- You can request CCS to be added to your existing plan for $20/month.
- Switch to an Advanced Shopify plan
- By upgrading to the Advanced plan, CCS will be included for free.
Why do I need CCS?
Without CCS, Passport cannot display real-time shipping rates, duties, and taxes in your cart and checkout. This feature ensures that your customers see the most accurate landed cost before placing their order, which helps:
- Improve conversion by reducing checkout surprises.
- Increase transparency with customers.
Provide a smoother international shopping experience.
How do I know if CCS is already enabled?
- If you’re on Advanced or Shopify Plus, CCS is included automatically.
- If you’re on a lower-tier plan (Basic or Standard), you’ll need to enable it using one of the three methods above.
To confirm whether CCS is active on your store, you can reach out to Shopify Support.
