If you are planning to switch to a new 3PL (third-party logistics provider), Passport can continue supporting you as your international shipping partner. However, there are some steps you’ll need to follow so that your integration with Passport and checkout setup are updated correctly.
How long does it take?
- Switching to a 3PL currently partnered with Passport: typically 3–5 business days, unless additional technical work is required.
Switching to a 3PL not currently partnered with Passport: can take up to 2 weeks, depending on the 3PL’s system (TMS) and integration needs.
What steps should I take?
- Reach out to Passport
- Let your Passport contact (Sales, CX, or CSM) know that you’re switching 3PLs and share the following information:
- New 3PL name and location
- Any changes to Passport service levels, rate customizations at checkout, and Passport Insurance
- Your anticipated go-live date
- Provide an introduction to your new 3PL’s point of contact
