The Passport portal now provides a feature where BOL(Bill of Lading) information can be submitted directly to the portal. Previously this information was provided directly to our team, and then we would process it manually. This update creates a more seamless process. Please take a look at the steps below for a quick walk-through on how to use this feature.
I have a label:
Notifies Passport of the packages we should be expecting to receive at our facility.
- Select the origin address
- Select the destination address
- Select the carrier of the label that has already been created
- Select the shipment date(the day the package will depart your facility)
- Add the boxes for the number of labels you have created
- Enter the dimensions of each box
- You can save the entered dimensions by selecting 'Remember Dimensions' so you can quickly fill out this information for future boxes.
- Enter the number of boxes with this set of dimensions
- Click 'Add Boxes'
- Fill out the box data
- Tracking ID of your label
- Number of packages in the box
- Total weight
- Reference field (this will sometimes be provided on the label)
- Note - this is optional and can be used if you feel there is information we should know about the box
- If you need to delete a box, use the red trash can in the upper right corner
- If you need to add more boxes, go to the 'add boxes' form on the left and click the 'add boxes' button again.
- You can either select the dimensions you previously saved from the dropdown or add new ones.
- Click the 'Submit Data' button
- Click 'Clear All' to delete all the boxes you have added
This information will now be available in the BOL History Table. If you would like to view these and confirm this information has been submitted, click 'See BOL History' in the top right of the page. If you need to cancel any BOL records, please reach out to your 3PL Passport contact.
If the weight of all of your boxes exceeds 175 lbs, we recommend scheduling a pickup.
Print a label:
Creates a label using Passport's account with the selected carrier. You can print and use these labels on your boxes. Follow all steps listed for the 'I have a label' tab and print your labels directly from the 'BOL History Table'. You can find this by clicking 'See BOL History' in the top right of the page.
Schedule a pickup:
To schedule a pickup, please reach out to pickups@passportglobal.com and provide the following information:
- Pallet count
- Pallet dimensions
- Pallet weight
- Contact person
- Dock hours/pickup window (2-3 hours)
- Special instructions for driver
